"Straightforward" balances on one narrow foot, elegantly raised towards the sky. Shaping the sculpture in clay proofed to be a challenge as it is a very soft and elastic material and the statics had to be maintained. In order to prevent uncontrolled tilting to the side, I had to build it up in several steps. The clay could dry off in between. Its surface is very smooth to show the play between the edges and soft curves. Within the sculpture lies an idiosyncratic poetry.
